Climate Action in Tourism

Climate Action in Tourism

Tourism took center stage at COP 29 in Baku, Azerbaijan today, marking a historic moment as “Climate Action in Tourism” was featured for the first time on the COP Action Agenda. Representing Zimbabwe was the Secretary for Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Dr. Takaruza Munyanyiwa.
On the sidelines of the event, Dr. Munyanyiwa held a productive meeting with the Minister of Sport and Tourism from Belarus. The discussions focused on fostering partnerships in the sports tourism sector, with an emphasis on designing customized tourism packages suited to Belarus’s winter season. This collaboration opens the door to innovative opportunities for mutual growth and the diversification of Zimbabwe’s tourism offerings.
