Grand opening of Zhongjin International Hotel in Redcliff, Kwekwe

The Minister for Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon @BarbaraRwodzi officiated at the grand opening of Zhongjin International Hotel in Redcliff, Kwekwe.
Giving her keynote address, Hon. Rwodzi commended the astute leadership of President Mnangagwa and his developmental policies which have created a conducive environment for investments amongst economic sectors including the Tourism sector. The Minister added that the” Zimbabwe is Open for Business” mantra has yielded massive investment across the country positioning Zimbabwe as a sort after destination.
Minister Rwodzi also applauded the First Lady Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa who is on record promoting consumption of local traditional cuisine through gastronomy tourism programmes. She urged Mr. Cheng to embrace the call and introduce local traditional food in his hotel.
The Hotel has 87 accommodation rooms ,3 conference rooms (occupancy of 30 guests), 2 massage rooms, a saloon and barber. Separate from the hotel, are a Chinese restaurant, supermarket, Casino and Karaoke entertainment city. The facility has employed 121 employees with a composition of 20 Chinese and 101 locals.
Present at the event were Minister of Midlands Province, Energy and Power Development and Home Affairs, Culture and Heritage, Hon Owen Ncube, July Moyo and Kazembe Kazembe respectively, among other government officials.
