Zimbabwe continues to shine on the global tourism map

Zimbabwe continues to shine on the global tourism map with the arrival of a group of 120 tourists from Israel who landed at the Victoria Falls International Airport today. The group, led by renowned travel agent and founder of “Another World,” Mr. Shlomo Carmel, was warmly welcomed with a grand reception that showcased the true spirit of Zimbabwean hospitality. The Agent chartered an Ethiopian Airways flight for the tourists into Zimbabwe
Upon touchdown, the charter received was water cannon salute, which is a symbol of honour that left the visitors visibly moved and excited. The welcome ceremony featured the presentation of Zimbabwe’s national fabric, a symbolic and heartfelt gift warmly embraced by the visitors.
The diverse group, including families with children, has been split into six guided tour groups for a personalized experience in Victoria Falls and Hwange. They are spreading across lodges and hotels enjoying luxury, scenic views, and close access to Victoria Falls.
During his brief Mr. Shlomo Carmel expressed his deep appreciation for the warm reception and reaffirmed his admiration for Zimbabwe as a prime travel destination.
“When I first visited Zimbabwe on a scouting mission, I was captivated by the beauty of Victoria Falls, the pristine wildlife, and the unmatched hospitality of the people. I knew then that this was a place I wanted to share with the world,” said Mr. Carmel.
Mr. Carmel revealed plans to bring more visitors, with 380 tourists arriving in June and another 200 in October 2025, reflecting growing interest in Zimbabwe among Israeli travelers. This influx of tourists is a testament to Zimbabwe’s rising appeal and the effectiveness of ongoing efforts to position the country as a top-tier destination. The Ministry of Tourism and the Hospitality Industry, Zimbabwe Tourism Authority, and local tourism stakeholders continue to work tirelessly to ensure all visitors have a memorable, safe, and enriching experience.
