Tourism Investment Seminar in London
Tourism Investment Seminar in London
In 2018, His Excellency, the President of the Republic of Zimbabwe, Cde Dr. E.D. Mnangagwa, declared with conviction, “Zimbabwe is open for business,” setting the tone for a new era of opportunity and growth. This message resonated strongly at the recent Tourism Investment Seminar in London, hosted by Zimbabwe’s Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry. Eager investors gathered to delve into the country’s vibrant tourism sector as the Ministry began with an inspiring overview of Zimbabwe’s top attractions from the breathtaking Victoria Falls to the expansive landscapes of Hwange National Park. Highlighting the nation’s commitment to sustainable tourism, the Ministry portrayed Zimbabwe as more than a destination as it is a deeply immersive experience blending adventure, rich heritage, and awe-inspiring natural beauty.
The seminar’s pinnacle came when the spotlight shifted to the Masuwe Special Economic Zone (SEZ) in Victoria Falls, a strategic investment zone presented as the future of luxury tourism and eco-friendly development in Zimbabwe. The Zimbabwe Investment Development Authority (ZIDA) seized the opportunity to showcase this visionary project, designed to attract high-end tourism through luxury lodges, adventure facilities, and community-integrated, eco-conscious developments. Investors were captivated by the incentives on offer, including tax breaks and dedicated infrastructure support, positioning the Masuwe SEZ as a premier investment destination.
