Kariba Regional Tourism Development & Marketing Strategy Meeting

The Zimbabwe Tourism Authority (ZTA) under the guidance of the Ministry of Environment, Climate, Tourism and Hospitality Industry together with tourism stakeholders are crafting a Kariba Regional Tourism Development and Marketing Strategy for the purposes of reviving tourism in the region.

The Strategy process was initiated in 2019 and progress slowed due COVID-19 in the last two years. The Revival Committee which was selected by the stakeholders has worked on the document and has since presented the draft strategy for validation on 16 of February 2022 in Kariba. The draft strategy is set to be presented to the broader stakeholders in Chinhoyi on 17 May 2022.

The workshop is meant to ensure that all stakeholders interrogate and make further inputs into the strategy before it is launched.
