Marirangwe Restaurant at Suskwe Resort Official Opening

Zimbabwe’s tourism sector continues to drive national progress with the official opening of the Marirangwe Restaurant at Suskwe Resort in Mutoko, last Friday. The Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Hon Barbara Rwodzi highlighted the restaurant’s role in creating over 50 jobs, with plans to employ up to 1,000 people through its supply chain, emphasizing tourism’s potential to fuel economic growth and preserve cultural heritage.
Special recognition was given to the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Patron of Tourism, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa, for her unwavering efforts to promote Zimbabwe Gastronomy on the global stage. The restaurant aligns with President Mnangagwa’s vision of attaining upper-middle-income status by 2030, demonstrating how tourism can empower communities, foster sustainable development, and showcase the richness of Zimbabwe’s cultural heritage.
