Barbara Rwodzi, met with the Ambassador of the Arab Republic of Egypt to Zimbabwe, Her Excellency Salwa Mowafi. Their discussions, held under the framework of the Diplomatic and Expatriates Cluster, focused on fostering cultural exchanges, boosting investment in the hospitality sector, and exploring joint marketing initiatives to attract more visitors between the two nations. Zimbabwe expressed interest in benchmarking Egypt’s well-established religious tourism sector, particularly learning from its strategies in attracting pilgrims and promoting faith-based travel, as the country seeks to develop its own religious tourism offerings.
