Russian Travel Forum

Day 2 of at the Russian Travel Forum: It was premised on Russia – Africa: Strategic Cooperation for Tourism Development and Socio-Economic Growth’.
It presented a strategic platform which the Honorable Minister Barbara Rwodzi seized for Russia to meet Zimbabwe and the rest of the KAZA region. In her address on the tourism ministers panel with Uganda, Kenya, and Equatorial Guinea, Honorable Rwodzi emphasized the significance of Zimbabwe’s Victoria Falls as a premier tourism destination. Positioned as a gateway to the tourism-rich KAZA region, Victoria Falls attracts tourists with its captivating landscapes, rich cultural heritage, and diverse wildlife.
Designated as a special economic zone, Victoria Falls city is not only a tourism hub, instead it presents abundant opportunities for tourism investment. Its potential for a thriving tourism economy is substantial.
As she concluded her address the Honourable Minister extended an invitation to all participating countries to experience Zimbabwe’s unique gastronomy tourism cluster by attending the First UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Africa to held in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe, from the 26 – 28 July 2024. This is a high profile event under the patronage of Zimbabwe’s First Lady, Dr Auxillia C. Mnangagwa, and in collaboration with the Basque Culinary Center.
