United Nations Africa Gastronomy Forum in Zimbabwe
Zimbabwe and United Nations Tourism will host the first ever UN Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Africa from 26 – 28 July 2024 in Victoria Falls, Zimbabwe. This is the fruit of Her Excellency The First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa’s tireless efforts in promoting Zimbabwean cuisine. We welcome you Africa, we welcome you United Nations Tourism, Zimbabwe celebrates!
With the aim of promoting cultural heritage, celebrating diverse culinary traditions, and elevating the role of gastronomy in African tourism, the 1st edition of the UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Africa will be hosted by the Republic of Zimbabwe from 26 to 28 July 2024.
This event, under the patronage of Her Excellency Dr. Auxillia C. Mnangagwa, First Lady of Zimbabwe, will serve as a platform for harnessing the rich culinary heritage of the African continent and advancing sustainable gastronomy tourism practices.
The First UN Tourism Regional Forum on Gastronomy Tourism for Africa promises to be a confluence of flavors, traditions, and innovations, bringing together the finest minds in gastronomy, tourism, sustainability, and cultural preservation. As we gather to explore the
intersection of culinary arts and sustainable tourism, the aim of the event will be to tantalize taste buds and to cultivate a deeper understanding of the integral role gastronomy plays in shaping the identity and prosperity of nations.
