Young Zimbabweans shine at African Youth Summit.

Two brilliant young Zimbabwean innovators successfully pitched their tourism innovation ideas before an adjudication committee at the the ongoing Youth in Tourism Innovation Summit & Challenge in Windhoek, Namibia. Daniel Nkuzuwalela & Jeffery Murungweni pitched against four other regional nominees from Namibia, South Africa and Rwanda.

The innovative ideas and solutions are expected to go beyond technology. They’re are travel, tourism and MICE industry-related projects aimed at transforming the tourism industry. Nkuzuwalela’s tourism business innovation is about democratising travel & enhancing tourism marketing through virtual reality by creating virtual tours for tourism players whose products & services can be listed on his 360° virtual browser. The tours can then be accessed for free with his low cost Virtual Reality headsets.

Murungweni’s tourism innovation, Trafiki Africa, is a WhatsApp Artificial intelligence chatbot that is a centralised platform for key tourism services. Customers are able to book short-term vacation accommodation & recreational activities.
