Hon Minister Barbara Rwodzi toured the Yadah Hotel and Heart of Stadium

Following the invitation by the founder of the Prophetic Healing and Deliverance (PHD) Ministries and owner of Yadah Hotel Prophet Walter Magaya, the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry Hon Barbara Rwodzi toured the Yadah Hotel and the Heart Stadium which is still under construction in Waterfalls, Harare yesterday.

This project clearly dovetails with the Minister’s vision as it is an epitome of Religious Tourism development as well as Sports Tourism representing two of the ten (10) tourism clusters as defined in her vision. Religious tourism refers to people travelling for religious purposes to visit holy centers, places or events. It is one of the driving forces to bring people from varied backgrounds together under a common cause.

Sports Tourism is a fast growing sector of the global travel industry and it refers to travel which involves either observing or participating in a sporting event. Congregants from around the globe frequently visit the Yadah Hotel facility during their religious pilgrimage.

The Minister commended PHD Ministries for their contribution towards the tourism industry which is one of the three major economic sectors in the country. She further stated that the Tourism Sector can leverage on both Religious and Sports Tourism towards achieving the $5 billion tourism economy by 2025.

Prophet Walter Magaya expressed his gratitude to the Minister and assured her that PHD Ministries will continue to tap professional guidance from the Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry going forward.
