Honorable Minister Barbara Rwodzi presented a comprehensive strategy to the Speaker of Parliament and the Parliamentary Portfolio Committee for Tourism and Hospitality Industry. During her presentation, she detailed the Zimbabwe Tourism Fund, explaining its collection mechanisms and intended uses, which are pivotal for enhancing the country’s tourism promotion and development. The Minister also highlighted the importance of tourism clusters as a strategy for fostering regional development and collaboration. Furthermore, she elaborated on the roles of the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority in promoting and regulating the sector, as well as the Mosi-oa-Tunya Development Company, which is essential for the sustainable development of the Victoria Falls area, ensuring that both local communities and the national economy benefit from tourism activities.She also took time to interact with the members of the Portfolio Committee.

After the Minister’s presentation on the Principals of the Amendment of the Bill, the workshop ended then a clear way forward with targets for the year 2025 for both the Parliamentary Committee and the Ministry and both parties are positive that results of their work together will be achieved.
