Mashonaland East Provincial CookOut Competitions

Concurrently another Team Tourism led by the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, was also in the Mashonaland East Province today, for the Amai’s Provincial Cookout Competition, which was being held at Nyadire Teachers College. Ten contestants from  several institutions in the province took part in the Competition, showcasing a variety of dishes unique to this part of the country. These ingredients included hwiza (grasshoppers), prepared in a variety of ways, manyanya (a tuber that is boiled and added to a tomato soup and enjoyed as a relish,baobab leaf tea etc.
