World Travel Market 2024 Highlights

During the World Travel Market (WTM) 2024, the Minister of Tourism and Hospitality Industry, Hon. Barbara Rwodzi, held a lively diaspora engagement with Zimbabweans based in the UK, accompanied by the Minister of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage, Hon. Kazembe Kazembe. The gathering focused on investment opportunities in Zimbabwe’s tourism sector, critical home affairs topics, and visa-related matters, including processes concerning the Schengen area.
The Ministry of Tourism and Hospitality Industry and the Ministry of Home Affairs and Cultural Heritage have a link in boosting tourism in Zimbabwe by promoting attractions, simplifying immigration, and preserving cultural heritage, enhancing Zimbabwe’s appeal and accessibility for visitors and investors.
To enhance the experience, attendees were treated to a selection of scrumptious, authentic Zimbabwean dishes, an effort to promote Gastronomy Tourism an initiative led by Her Excellency, the First Lady of the Republic of Zimbabwe and Patron of Tourism, Dr. Auxillia Mnangagwa. The culinary showcase captivated the diaspora community, reflecting Zimbabwe’s rich cultural and gastronomic heritage. The community expressed their enthusiasm for continued interactions, eager to explore more opportunities for engagement on these and other pertinent issues.
