Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive, Ms Muchanyuka had a closed door meeting with tourism players.

TODAY the Zimbabwe Tourism Authority Chief Executive, Ms Winnie Muchanyuka had a closed door meeting with tourism players in Bulawayo. This was the second ‘Meet & Greet’ session that the recently appointed Chief Executive embarked on, with the first one being done in Victoria Falls last week. The nuclear behind the sessions is Ms Winnie’s way of getting an appreciation of issues bedelving the sector. A hands-on Muchanyuka took time to pay tribute to the Bulawayo tourism business community for navigating the tough Covid19 pandemic period which literally obliterated the sector. In the meeting, stakeholders and tourism players agreed on a path to aggressively promote the destination and put emphasis on proactive issues management.

Meanwhile, Ms Winnie took time to pay courtesy calls to the Minister of State for Provincial Affairs and Devolution Hon Judith Ncube and the Bulawayo City Mayor, His Worship Solomon Mguni.

Ms Winnie and her team capped off the afternoon with a technical meeting and a tour of the 2022 Sanganai- Hlanganani World Tourism Expo venue the Zimbabwe International Trade Exhibition Centre.
