National Cookout Final Competitions

Saturday 25 May 2024, was the DDay for the National Cookout Final Competitions which were held at Claremont Golf Course in Nyanga.
Sixty-four (64) contestants from far afield across Zimbabwe and African countries such as Botswana and Malawi came together to contest in the finals which showcase culinary skills in Zimbabwean traditional food. Professional Chefs, Tertiary Students and Communities from all 10 provinces converged for this ultimate Cookout.
The colorful event was officiated by the First Lady of The Republic of Zimbabwe and Patron of Tourism Her Excellency, Dr Auxillia Mnangagwa who is also the pioneer in championing Zimbabwean Gastronomy. Also in attendance was Malawian Minister of Tourism, Honorable Vera Kamtukule, the UN Tourism officials, Namibian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Botswana Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Angolian Ambassador to Zimbabwe, Malawi Charge De Affairs, Cabinet Ministers, several Deputy Ministers and other invited guests.
